The town of Blue Ridge is known for being the center of art in the state. Tybee island is a few hours’ drive from Savannah, which is an island of sandy beaches and sand dunes. This is a small island of 22 square miles but here you can enjoy a lot of water activities like sailing, and fishing and other land activities as well. You can also simply laze around the beach and watch the beautiful view from Tybee.
If you want to go trail hiking through the Cohutta Mountains of Georgia you can follow the Panther Creek Trail for a great hiking adventure with your friends. There are majestic waterfalls to view along the trail which are breathtaking and these falls flow in multiple tiers to a pool of water down below which is crystal clear. This place is one of great peace and quiet and is a great place to do some quiet meditation while listening to the flow of water from the falls. The many campsites around would be a great place to enjoy the place with your friends.
In the Providence National Park lies the Providence Canyon which is Georgia’s version of the Grand Canyon. The rock formations are very colorful too look at and very striking especially during the summer months. You can do rock climbing in these canyons.
